New To Recording
Hi, how's it going?
We all have to start somewhere and being new to the recording studio game is nothing to worry about.
You've probably seen tv shows where the guys at the studio treat the clients like crap. They boss them around, talk down to them, laugh behind their backs and generally treat the client like dirt. This rarely occurs anymore in this day and age and never at my studio.
At Saltwater Studios the client is the boss. If you're paying for the session, I work for you. I will do everything within my power to keep the session running smoothly, happily and stress free.
A Short example of a Recording Session
1. Client phones me to arrange a time for a quick consultation.
2. Client comes to the studio, we talk about the project, figure out any prep the client needs to do and any special preparations I need for the session. We all also get to know each other a bit, and this gives the client a chance to decide if I am the person they wish to work with on their project. This is important, if we're going to work together on a project there has to be reasonable compatibility and good lines of communication, otherwise it will be pulling teeth all the way through. We also work out a rough budget and timeframe at this point.
3.Client books time for session.
4. Client comes in, we complete session.
5.Client pays whatever is left owing on bill.
6. I release material to the client.
If you have any questions, please phone or email me. I'd be more than happy to talk with you.
